Mykhailo (Misha) is a freelance illustrator from Ukraine and he's a bit of a perfectionist, so he pays close attention to every little detail in his work. He finished Falmouth University with a 1st Honour Degree in BA Illustration. His main focus is on book narratives (both fiction and nonfiction), book covers, and maps, but he's a jack of all trades and can tackle other projects like posters, editorials, and album covers, whatever you fancy, really. He also likes to experiment with calligraphy and type, so from time to time he designs own letterings for book covers to hit the right aesthetic. His work is all about historical, classical, and mythological themes with a twist dark academia, mystical, or gothic flair. When in the zone, he dives deep into research to capture the project's philosophy and aesthetics.
He worked with such clients as Worsdsworth Edtitions, Mnemos, Lobster Publishing, Badger Learning Publishing, Arcane Society, Little White Lies magazine, Readberry, Vydavnystvo Bogdan, ARTBOOKS Publishing and others. Along that, he was nominated as a winner in D&AD New Blood (Portfolio) in 2023 as well as in Folio Book Illustration Award in 2026.
