Illustration done for the Sherlock&Co zine exploring the hardship of PTSD and how one trigger can break the peace, but also how a small thing that help to repair the cracks. The inspiration is drswn from the Japanese art of Kintsugi (golden joinery). This ancient philosophy fixes broken pottery with a special resin or lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, celebrating the cracks as part of the object's history rather than hiding them.
